Cross Country: Boys & Girls Take 2nd at Stark County Meet

CROSS COUNTRY

The Louisville Leopards Cross Country teams had an impressive showing Saturday at the Stark County Championship at GlenOak.  The Boys squad finished in second place just behind Jackson who captured the overall team title.  The girls squad finished with the same score as Jackson, but won the tie breaker earning them second place only behind the North Canton Hoover Vikings.  The Lady Leps Mackenzie Rankin placed second in the county individually with a time of 21:11.49.  Minerva’s Kaele Lightfoot was the fastest girl in the county with a time of 20:48.80, while Cory Glines of St. Thomas Aquinas was the fastest boy with a time of 17:43.81.

BOYS

The boys team had 5 runners finish in the top 12 among Division I runners.    Nick Koczwara finished as the top Louisville runner capturing 11th place overall with a time of 18:30.73.  Garrett Dasco and Sean Gronow came in just behind him in 13th and 14th place respectively.   See Full Varsity & JV Results below.

GIRLS

The Lady Leps were led by Rankin who blew away the competition capturing first place among Division I runners by 29 seconds ahead of Hoover’s Emily Saus who took second individually in Division I.  Rankin took 2nd amongst all runners.
