Joe Crank threw for three touchdown passes and Kyle Woost caught two touchdown passes to lead the JV Leopards over the Carrollton Warriors 36-7 Saturday morning at Louisville Leopards Stadium.  The win improves Louisville 6-1 overall and keeps them undefeated in the NBC at 5-0.

The Leopards scored first when Quarterback Pavin Parks completed a pass to Woost on a 4th-and-2 from the 18.  Woost faked to his right and then sprinted back left into the open field for the score to put Louisville up 6-0.  The scoring drive started in Carrollton territory after Woost recovered a Warriors fumble.

Later, Louisville put up 22 points in the second quarter.  Crank completed a 41 yard touchdown pass to Connor Zwick over the middle for the first touchdown.  Then he hooked up with Bryce Mathie in the left corner of the endzone for a 21 yard score.  The coverage on Mathie could not have been tighter, but the Junior wide receiver still snagged the ball away from the defender to make it 18-0 Leps.  A Crank to Woost conversion pass put Louisville up 20-0 with just 1:26 left to play in the half.

The Leopards defense then forced a Warrior punt after a quick three-and-out.  Zach Shea stormed in and blocked the punt and Chad Morris recovered the football at the Carrollton 8 for the Beatty's Sports 2012 Football ShirtLeopards.  Then Woost caught his second touchdown pass on the next play.  Andy Minster took the direct snap on the scoring play and rolled to his right before finding Woost on the right side of the endzone.  In a similar play, Minster rolled to his right on the two point conversion try and found a wide open Zwick in the far right corner for the score.  28-0 Leopards.

Carrollton tried an onside kick of the gate in the second half, but Austin Shaheen alertly fell on it for the Leps.  Shaheen would also deliver a crowd-awing hit and deflect a pass on a 4th-and-6 play ending one of Carrollton’s final scoring threats.  Parks also had an interception for the Leopards as the Warriors were driving in Louisville territory.  The Leopard defense did not surrender any points for the game.

The Warriors only score of the contest was a 50 yard interception return by Ryan Spahr just 18 seconds into the second half.  However, the Leopards would provide the final dagger when Crank hit Ryan Lautner for his third touchdown pass of the game from 19 yards out.  The pair combined again for the two point conversion to finalize the score at 36-7.
