Rachel Baughman scored 4 goals and Lizz Stefanik kicked home 2 more to help lead the Louisville Lady Leopards to a 9-1 Scrimmage victory over the Ravenna Ravens on a rainy night at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

The Lady Leps pounced on the Ravens from start to finish.  Stefanik helped lead the first half charge with a pair of goals.  Both of her scoring shots were set-up by Baughman, who alertly scored herself on a free kick inside the penalty area.  The combination of Stefanik and Baughman also combined to set-up Halie Barton’s goal which made it 5-0 Louisville with 3:28 left in the second half.

The goal marked the Lady Leps fourth goal in a span of 10:38.  Stefanik, Baughman, Barton, and also Freshman Devin Kring all scored in that time frame.  Kring’s first career high school goal came after Kayla Shankel booted a rocket off the Ravenna goalie.  The Ravens goalie had made several superb plays to stop other Leopards scoring chances, but this time she could not quite hold on.  Kring was there to rebound the fumble and swish it into the net.

In the second half, Baughman took off.  Twice she scored on deep free kicks outside of the penalty box, about 35 yards away from the net.  On another play, her fakeout left a defender in the dust as she buried another deep goal.

The Ravens managed a goal late in the contest, but Louisville countered with just seconds remaining.  Kelly Miller delivered a perfect corner kick into the goal box and Freshman Lizzy Mont deflected the ball off her back and into the net to make it 9-1 Leopards.  13 Seconds later time expired and Louisville Girls Soccer had their first scrimmage win of 2012.
