Louisville Boomerangs Carrollton With Sweep – Volleyball
Louisville 25-25-25, Carrollton 21-19-20
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the visiting Carrollton Warriors 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. With their third straight league victory, Louisville is now 6-2 in the NBC and an even 8-8 on the season overall.
Erin Hahn and Cami Nau led the Leopard offense as the top hitters for the match with 16 kills a piece. Morgan Cole set them up the most with a match-high 37 assists. Leading servers for Louisville included Kaitlyn Baskerville and Emily Phillips who finished with 8 points and 2 aces each.
The turning point in the match came in the second set when Louisville trailed Carrollton 16-10. The Leopards caught momentum and stunned the Warriors with a 15-3 run to close the set.
The third set was a back-and-forth affair with the Warriors grabbing the early lead before the Leopards snatched it back. The two team’s played to a 15-15 tie, but Louisville doubled up Carrollton the rest of the way to close out the set and the match.
The Lady Warriors were led by Sadie Green who was the top server for the match with 9 points and had a team-high 20 assists. Jaci Pridemore also finished with a team-leading 8 kills and 3 blocks (2 solo, 1 assisted). Mikayla Poole was the other defensive leader for Carrollton with 15 digs. The Warriors are now 11-3 overall and 6-2 in the NBC.
The Warriors won the first matchup in a convincing 25-8, 25-21, 25-14 sweep of the Leopards in the Black Hole. But the boomerang came back around Thursday as Louisville returned the favor for a home sweeping of their own.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Canton South Wildcats on Tuesday, September 26. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
