Carrollton Closes in on NBC Title After Downing Louisville

The Louisville Lady Leopards fell to the visiting Carrollton Warriors 66-41 Wednesday Evening. With the loss, Louisville falls to 5-12 overall and 5-6 in the NBC.
Rachel Zeller led the Leopards with 17 points which included 4 three-pointers. Hollyann Mullett also broke double digits with 10 and both Morgan Paulus & Hannah Skolosh added 4.
Ali Poole led the Warriors with a game-high 19 points which included a crowd-thrilling half court basket at the end of the second quarter. Savanah Lowery also scored 10 and both Rachel Devine & Monica Starre added 9.
Carrollton is now 16-2 overall and a perfect 11-0 in conference play. The Lady Warriors need just one win to capture at least a share of their first NBC Title since 2000-01. With two victories, they will clinch their first outright league title since 1994-95.
Carrollton has now taken the last three meetings in the series, but Louisville still leads the all-time series 34-19. This includes a 19-8 record agains the Warriors at home.

Danielle Walter buried 2 three-pointers & scored a game-high 12 points and Alexa Oberster also poured in 11 to lead the JV Lady Leopards past the Warriors 38-28. With the victory, Louisville is now 5-12 overall and 4-7 against NBC foes.
Kennedy Brown also scored 6 and Gabby Speher hit a first half buzzer-beater for the Lady Leopards.
Carrollton was led by Maddie Dunlap with 9 and Rachel Brown with 8.
