Louisville Now With Winning Mark After Sweeping South – Volleyball

Louisville 25-25-25, Canton South 20-17-16

Louisville Leopards Womens Short Sleeve ShirtThe Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the visiting Canton South Wildcats 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 Tuesday Evening at Louisville High School. The win gives Louisville their first winning mark of the year at 9-8 as they moved to 7-2 in the NBC.

Erin Hahn finished with a match-high 14 kills and 2 blocks to lead the Leopards. Ashley Zifer finished as the team’s leading server with 9 points and 1 ace and Morgan Cole had a match-high 25 assists for the Louisville offense.

Crislip, DeJacimo, Wyss for Louisville Board of EducationEllie Jackson had a match leading 12 digs on defense. Emily Fresenko and Cami Nau both had 2 blocks for the Leopards as well. 

Morgan Dalton led the Lady Wildcats with team-highs of 6 digs, 5 kills, and 2 solo blocks. Nina Treacher was their top server for the match with 15 points and 2 aces. Megan Mitchell also had a team-leading 14 assists, Sharon Williams finished with 6 digs, and Brooke Noll sent back 2 blocks. Canton South is now 4-11 overall and 1-8 against conference foes.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Alliance to take on the Aviators on Thursday, September 28. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
