Canton South used a 12-0 run during the final six minutes of the first half to build their advantage before clawing their way to a 50-35 victory over host Louisville Friday night.  Armond Fontes led all scorers with 17 and Trey Taylor also aided the Wildcats by adding 12.

Louisville was led by Ronnie Carter’s team-high 10 points, Blake Hoover & Alex Schooley that each scored 8, and Alex Hollifield who tallied 7.  Carter also hit 2 three-pointers, while Hollifield Beatty's Winter Hoodiesand Schooley added one a piece.

The Wildcats led by as many as 19 points in the second half, but the Leopards could only manage to trim the lead to 11 late in the fourth.  Canton South only committed 6 fouls for the entire contest and Louisville did not make them pay for those few as they shot just 16% (1 of 6) from the line.

The loss marks Louisville’s first at home against Canton South since a 53-52 defeat on January 18, 2008.  Counting Friday’s loss, the Leopards have taken 7 out of the last 9 overall in the series from the Wildcats.

Canton South remains a perfect 6-0, 4-0 on the season and will be looking to contend for the league crown.  For Louisville they drop to 1-5, 0-3  and will look to get back on track next Friday when they host the Minerva Lions.
