BOYS SOCCER: Golden Eagles Soar Past Leopards 6-0

GlenOak Louisville Boys Soccer 2012

GlenOak 6, Louisville 0

The GlenOak Golden Eagles continued their dominance over the Louisville Leopards in boys soccer action Thursday evening at the Louisville High School Soccer Field.  GlenOak won the contest 6-0.

Midway through the first half, the Eagles goalie was red carded for using his hands outside of Beatty's Sports Grey Louisville Athletics T-Shirtthe penalty box.  Since it was an obvious scoring opportunity for the Leopards he was ejected from the game and replaced with his backup.

Even down a man, GlenOak managed to pour on 5 more goals in the contest to move their record to 9-0-1 against Louisville all-time.  A key to the Eagles success was the physical play allowed by the head referee.  Despite the red card, there were very limited fouls called in the contest.  This allowed the Leopards little offensive penetration and thus they were shutout for the second straight meeting against GlenOak.

After dropping to 1-1, the Leopard will look to right the ship against another Federal League team on Saturday when they travel to Perry to take on the Panthers at 5:00 PM.
