Boys Golf Sweeps Season Series From Minerva
Louisville 171-158, Minerva 182-163
The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team swept the season series from the Minerva Lions over a span of 
two days. The Leopards downed the visiting Lions 171-182 at Skyland Pines on Wednesday before earning a 158-163 win against host Minerva on Thursday. With the two victories, Louisville is now 5-1 overall on the season with a 5-1 record in NBC play.
At Edgewater on Thursday, Nick Fawver tied his career best by shooting a 37 to lead the Leopards to victory. Keying his performance was a Double Eagle on the 7th Hole (Par 5). This is the first time in the known history of the Louisville program that a player recorded a Double Eagle (history dates back to 2000).
Rounding out the scoring for the Leopards on Thursday were Matt Eddins 38, Cameron Prasco 41, and Caleb Prasco 42. Eric Brownsberger also shot a career low 43 in Varsity and both Drew Dyer (42) and Connor Wendt (49) finished with career lows in JV. The Junior Varsity Squad shot a season low as a team in their 181-185 victory over the Lions. Sam Casto and Bradley Walker each shot a season low 46 in the win as well.
In the victory on Wednesday, Eddins led the way with a match best tally of 40. Also scoring for Louisville were Mac Hanson 43, Cameron Prasco 44, and Caleb Prasco 44.
Minerva (4-5, 2-4) was led by Scotty Wilson who shot a team best 41 on Wednesday and tied teammate Connor Wright with a team best score of 39 on Thursday. The Leopards have now won 5 out of the last 6 meetings against the Lions overall.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Carrollton to take on the Warriors on Monday, August 31. Tee-Time is slated for 4:00 PM at Carroll Meadows.
