Boys Freshman Basketball Wallops West Branch
Louisville 48, West Branch 29
The Louisville Leopards Boys Freshman Basketball Team downed the visiting West Branch Warriors 48-29 at Louisville Elementary Monday. With the win, Louisville is now 10-2 overall and 9-0 in league play.
Cameron King led the Leopards with a game-high 12 points. Spencer Hall and Jackson Kandel also added 8 points each for Louisville.
The Leopards shutout the Warriors 8-0 in the opening quarter. Louisville extended their advantage to double digits by halftime and led 40-11 at the end of three. They cruised to victory in the fourth.
The Leopards won the game despite leading in fouls 18-4. Louisville hit all 3 of their free throw attempts, while West Branch shot a dismal 8 for 26 (31%) from the charity stride.
The Warriors were led by Vince McGreal who reached double figures with a team-high 10 points. Gavin Alpago also scored 5 and Dustin Kiborn scored 4 for West Branch.
The Leopards Freshman have now won 5 straight overall.
