Boys Cross Country Wins 4th Straight Golden Eagle Invitational

Boys: Louisville – 33 (1st Out of 14)

The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country Team blew by the competition in winning the 14-team Golden Eagle Beatty's Sports Light Blue Louisville Leopards Fall 2016 HatInvitational at GlenOak High School Saturday Morning. Louisville has placed 1st at the Golden Eagle Invitational in 4 consecutive seasons.

The Leopards dominated the competition as 4 runners finished in the top 6 individually. Zach Fresenko placed 2nd overall with a Louisville best time of 16:01.4. Noah Chaplik (3rd), Noah Murray (4th), and Nick Chaplik (6th) all finished with 3 seconds of each other.

Logan Ison also took 18th to round out the Leopards scoring. Also participating in Varsity were Miklos JennCanAdHendricks (32nd) and Sebastian Hendricks (35th).

Louisville finished 49 places ahead of 2nd place Jackson (82). Brecksville also took 3rd (102) just a single point ahead of St. Ignatius (3rd). Individually, Brunswick’s Andre Bollam-Godbott placed 1st with a time of 15:48.7.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Tiffin Invitational on Saturday, September 10 at 4:30 PM. JV will next compete at the East Canton Invitational on Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30 PM.
