Boys Cross Country Wins 10th Straight NBC Title, Girls Take 4th

Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country 2015 NBC Champions 10 Straight

Boys – 19 (1st Out of 7)

The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team continued its NBC Dynasty in dominating fashion Beatty's White JacketSaturday Morning at Copeland Oaks. Louisville finished with a total of just 19 places to capture first place at the NBC Meet for the 10th consecutive season. They beat out second place Carrollton by 60 places.

Louisville’s Nick Chaplik won the race individually with a time of 16:22.0 just ahead of Carrollton’s Cole Lovett who finished at the 16:27.4 mark. Lovett was the only NBC runner that got in the way of the Leopards finishing with a perfect score.

All 7 Louisville Runners finished in the top nine and the first 6 Leopards Runners received first team All-NBC honors. They included the following: Noah Chaplik (3rd), Zach Fresenko (4th), Christian Hendricks (5th), Noah Murray (6th), Ben Tornow (8th), and Jacob Milburn (9th).

The 10 consecutive league titles is the longest league title streak for any Louisville sport in school history.

NBC Cross Country Meet 2015 – Boys Results

Girls – 122 (4th Out of 8)

The Lady Leopards finished with 122 total places to take 4th place in the NBC Meet at Copeland Oaks Saturday Morning. Marlington won the race with 40 total places.

Louisville was led by Hailey Miller who placed 12th with a team best time of 6:51.7. Rounding out the top five for the Leopards were Ashlee Beaver (20th), Allyssa Warren (27th), Isabel Kiko (30th), and Iris Menagay (33rd).

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the DI District Meet next Saturday, October 24 at Malone University. The Girls will race at 2:10 PM and the Boys at 3:55 PM.
