Boys Cross Country Dominates at OHSAA Preseason Invite

Louisville – 31 (1st Out of 22)

The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country Team blew away their competition in the OHSAA Preseason Invitational at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio Saturday. Louisville captured first place in the Section H race with 31 total places. They finished 63 places ahead of second place Lexington.

In a race that featured 22 teams and 210 runners, the Leopards had 6 runners finish in the top 10. Beatty's Leopards Football Shorts 2015Lexington took the top two individual spots, but Nick Chaplik (16:18.0) finished in third and Noah Chaplik (16:33.8) took fourth. Louisville runners capturing places 7-10 included Ben Tornow (16:57.5), Zach Fresenko (16:58.0), Seth Gronow (16:58.2), and Noah Murray (17:02.3).

No Section Winner dominated their competition as much as the Leopards did as their 31 places was the lowest of any section at National Trail Raceway Saturday. Louisville finished with a total race time of 1:23.46 (16:46 Avg.). Only Section B team’s Maplewood (1:22.52) and Thomas Worthington (1:23.12) had better overall team race times than the Leopards for the whole day.
