Boys Cross Country Captures 1st at Mentor Cardinal Classic

Boys – Louisville 72 (1st Out of 16)

The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team captured first place in their third consecutive meet to start the season Saturday. Louisville took 1st Out of 16 teams with a total of 72 places at the Mentor Cardinal Classic.

Nick Thomas finished sixth overall to lead the Leopards with a time of 16:36.00. Rounding out the top 5 for Louisville were Noah Chaplik (12th), Nick Chaplik (14th), Sean Gronow (19th), and Zach Fresenko (21st).

Also finishing in the top 50 were Ben Tornow (23rd), Andrew Milburn (26th), and Robby Cuenot (48th).

Girls – Louisville 295 (3rd out of 14)

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Cross Country team placed 12th out of 13 teams at the Mentor Cardinal Classic Saturday.

Haley Bradley finished with the top Louisville time of 21:22.19 good enough for 27th place overall. Rounding out the Top 5 for the Lady Leopards were Adriana Beaver (61st), Ashlee Beaver (66th), Anna Wade (92nd), and Ashley Smith (101st).
