The Louisville Leopards Varsity Boys Basketball team battered the visiting Boardman Spartans 81-42 Beatty's Blue Louisville Hoodie Winter 2015 with White SleevesSaturday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 10-3 on the season and Head Coach Tom Siegfried earns his 100th victory all-time.

Siegfried is now 100-89 all-time as the Leopards Head Coach and with two more victories can stand alone as the winningest coach in program history. Jake Adams made 4 three-pointers and finished with a game-high 18 points to lead the way. Drew Noble also pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds, scored 16 points, and recorded 2 blocks for Louisville. Other Leopards breaking double digits were Jake Pukys who poured in 15 points & dished out a game-high 6 assists and Chris Libertore who scored 10.

Louisville led the entire way in dominating on both the scoreboard and the stat sheet. The Leopards shot Order Leopard Nation Highlight Videolights out in shooting 62% (33 of 53) from the floor and hitting 46% (11 of 24) of their three-pointers. Reversely, the Spartans only shot 30% (14 of 47) from the field and 29% (4 of 14) from beyond the arch. Louisville also held a 32-21 advantage on the boards for the game.

Boardman was led by Holden Lipke and Dom Stilliona who finished with a team-high 8 points each. Ayo Oiwole and Che Trevena also added 6 points a piece for the Spartans.

The win is Louisville’s first over Boardman since the 1947-48 season snapping a streak of 5 straight losses to the Spartans overall. The Leopards now trail the all-time series 7-15. Louisville also improves to 5-1 in out of conference play this season.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Minerva Lions on Tuesday, January 19. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.

The Leopards JV Team downed the visiting Spartans 66-44 Friday Evening at LHS. With the win, Order Leopard Nation Highlight VideoLouisville improves to 9-4 on the season.

For the second straight night Brandon Wahl hit 7 three-pointers and this time finished with a game-high 22 to lead the Leopards. Jared Mathie also hit 2 of Louisville’s 11 triples & poured in 16 and Derek Zeller added 8.

The Leopards held a slim 32-29 lead at halftime, before outscoring the Spartans 34-15 in the second half to take the contest.

Boardman was led by Luke Cardillo and Noah Falletti who scored 9 points a piece. Ron Simmons also dropped in 7 for the Spartans.
