Lady Leopards Win Home Opener Again Boardman – Girls Golf
Louisville 181, Boardman 203
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team earned a 181-203 victory over the visiting Boardman Spartans in their home opener at Pleasant View Golf Club Wednesday. With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten at 3-0 on the season.
Karli Redinger shot a match best 41 to lead the Leopards. Erin Strouse also carded a 44 and Madison Gruber a 46. Both Lauren L’Amoreaux and Abby Vanicek each finished with a score of 50 to round out the Louisville scoring.
The Spartans were led by Noelle Hammar who shot a team low 42 and Emily Jackson who tallied at 43. This was the first ever meeting between the two schools in Girls Golf.
This is the fourth time in the 8 year history of the Lady Leopards program that they have started a season 3-0. Only the 2011 squad was able to win four straight dual matches to start the season. Louisville will try to match that feat Thursday when they host Fairless.
