Baseball Downs Salem for Season’s First Mercy Win

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball team earned an 11-1 5 inning run-rule victory over the visiting Salem Quakers Tuesday at LHS. With the victory, Louisville is now 12-7 overall and 7-1 in the NBC.

Jake Adams finished 2-for-2 with a 2-run double to lead the Leopards at the plate. He also pitched the first four Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Baseball Shirt 2015innings, gave up 0 earned runs on 6 hits, and struck out 5 to improve his win-loss record to 3-0 on the year.

Tyler Adams also finished the evening 2-for-2 with a pair of stolen bases, 3 runs scored, and an RBI. Marco Buccasso, Joe Crank, and Brock Haren also drove in runs for Louisville.

Noah Richards and Keaton Turney each finished with 2 hits to lead the Quakers.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Minerva to take on the Lions on Wednesday, April 29 at 4:30 PM. JV will be home during the same time taking on Minerva and Freshman will also be home taking on Ravenna.

The Leopards JV Squad exploded for a 16-1, 6 inning run-rule victory over the host Quakers Tuesday. With the win, Louisville is now 14-3 overall and 8-0 against conference foes.

Corey White led the Leopards by batting 2-for-4 with a double, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBIs. Tyler Croxton also finished 2-for-4 at the plate with 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Nick Harsh also had 3 hits, Zack Yadrnak finished with a pair of hits & runs batted in, and both Issac Mathie & Casey Nau drove in two runs each to round out Louisville’s offensive highlights.

On the hill, Cameron Prasco pitched the first 4 innings scoreless, gave up just 2 hits in the process, and struck out 6. Prasco is now a perfect 4-0 on the mound this season.
