Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team shutdown the visiting Alliance Aviators 75-19. Louisville has now won 3 of their last 4 games to improve their overall mark to 4-10 and their NBC record to 4-5.

Sydney Bast scored a game-high 13 points and tallied 2 steals to lead the Lady Leopards. Erin Hahn also scored all of her 12 points in the first half as did Ellie Jackson who dropped home 8.

The run encompassed a string of 19 straight points while the Leopards defense shutout the Aviators for over 8 minutes. LHS took a 39-8 advantage into halftime and outscored AHS 36-11 in the second half to roll to their second most lopsided home victory in team history.

Louisville doubled up Alliance on the glass 22-11 and recorded 16 steals on defense. Kayla Gibson led the Leopards with a game-high 5 steals to go along with her game leading 4 assists. Cassidy Kiko pulled down a game-high 6 boards and Paige Cole also recorded 5 rebounds.

All 13 Louisville Players scored during the contest as the Leopards bench outscored the Aviators 42-4. Louisville out-shot Alliance from the field 51% (28 of 54) to 38% (8 of 21) and 69% (18 of 26) to 37% (3 of 8) from the line.

The Lady Aviators (1-13, 0-9) were led by Kylie Young who scored a team-high 12 points and had 2 assists. Other scorers for Alliance included Char’metria Threats with 4 and Megan Brookes with 3.

This was the 50th all-time meeting between the two teams with Louisville now holding a 42-8 advantage overall with a 19-4 edge at home. The Leopards have now defeated the Aviators in 19 consecutive matchups overall and the last 9 in the series played at LHS. The 56 points is the second largest margin of victory at home in team history. Louisville defeated the visiting Carrollton Warriors 81-24 for the record 57 point spread back on January 17, 1990.
