Leopards Win 50th Straight NBC Match, 6th Straight Title – Boys Tennis

The Louisville Leopards blanked the visiting Alliance Aviators 5-0 Thursday at LHS. With their seventh straight win, Louisville improves their record to 16-2 Beatty's Sports Blue Shirt Under Armour Spring 2017overall and clinches the NBC outright with a record of 9-0.

The Leopards won all their matches in straight sets. Doubles winners included the #1 team of Asa Herron & Zach Eddins winning 6-1, 6-4 and the #2 tandem of Scott Gronow & Spencer Hall winning their match 6-1, 6-2.

Louisville also dominated each of the singles matchups. Ryan Pukys led the Leopards by taking #1 Singles by the count of 6-4, 6-2. Ryan Richards continued to roll in #2 Singles winning 6-1, 6-4 and Nick Eneix breezed to a 6-0, 6-1 victory in #3 Singles.

With the victory, Louisville has now defeated Alliance in 21 straight meetings. The Leopards now lead the all-time series 48-5 and have shutout the Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdAviators 27 times. 

Louisville has now won 6 straight NBC Titles in claiming their last 5 championships outright. The Leopards have also won 50 NBC Matches in a row dating back to the end of the 2012 season. All-in-all Louisville has won 16 league titles in their history and 13 in the NBC alone. Calculating shares as halves, the Leopards have 12 championships while the rest of the NBC has captured 4.
