Alliance scored what proved to be the game-winning touchdown on the final play of the first half during a 13-7 victory over host Louisville on September 15, 2006.
The Aviators capped an 11 play, 83 yard drive with a 7 yard touchdown pass form Charles Babb to Chris Bivens on the final play of the second quarter. The touchdown gave Alliance a 13-7 lead, which proved to be the final.
Babb finished 13-of-26 passing for 183 yards and also rushed 18 times for 90 yards. Babb also connected with Coty Bates on a 24 yard touchdown pass earlier in the second quarter to tie the game at 7-7.

The Leopards only score was set up when Greg Holbrook forced a fumble and Clay Swigert recovered it on the Alliance 32. Five plays later, Quarterback Ben Schmucker found Wide Receiver Kyle Falk for a 20 yard score.
Holbrook also picked off a pass at the goal line in the second half and returned it to the Louisville 27. Two possessions later, the Leopards drove all the way to the Aviator 3 before being picked off in the endzone. After that, there were no real scoring threats by either squad for the remainder of the contest. The Aviators out-gained the Leopards 306-215 on the evening and Alliance forced 4 Louisville turnovers.
