#2 Boys Cross Country Brings Home District Title

Back on October 19, the Leopards Boys Cross Country team had three runners finish in the top 10 on a Muddy Malone University trail. Their finish earned them their second DI Canton District Championship in four years.

Nick Chaplik led Louisville with a team best time of 16:50.1 which he used to finish 5th overall. Ben Beatty's Sports Hat AdTornow also finished 8th and Noah Chaplik right behind him in 9th. Others contributing to the Leopards total places of 56 were Zach Fresenko (13th) and Nick Thomas (21st).

Louisville finished 12 places ahead of second place Lake. The Blue Streaks had the meet’s top runner and third place runner.

The Leopards went on to finish third at the Regional Meet in Boardman and tenth at the State Meet in Hebron. With a young cast, the future of Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country looks more than promising. In the coming years they will look to reach the top of the mountain again, just as they did in 2010.
